Watch digitized video and music on Sharp's sandwich-sized multimedia player. A pirate and bootlegger's dream, the AV1 digitizes music into MP3 and analog video into MPEG-4 directly, eliminating the need for a desktop middleman. For honest folk who record videos and music for personal use, this little gadget is a godsend: Using 64MB SD removable media cards, the AV1 can hold an hour's worth of video or two hours of music (by 2004, Sharp will have SD cards capable of holding up to four hours of video).
