From his days as a graphic designer and record label boss, Trevor Jackson has always lived life on the cutting edge of dance music. But it wasn't until he took on the Playgroup handle that the wily-haired Jackson really came alive. Now the sultan of '80s cool, the producer/remixer can do no wrong on the 23-track compilation, effectively fading between classic late-80s (ware)house cuts (Ralphi Rosario), avant-garde disco (Metro Area) and funk punk (The Rapture). Funkmaster Flex he ain't, but his vast musical knowledge and acute programming skills are bar none.
