You may not believe in magic, and you may believe video can never look anything like film. Well, you'd be wrong on both accounts. At long last the team at The Orphanage has taken their proprietary process called Magic Bullet, boxed it, barcoded it and made it available for mass consumption. At the push of a button, this plug-in for Adobe After Effects analyzes, de-interlaces, de-artifacts and transcodes 30fps DV into perfectly film-like 24P video. Throw in the similarly easy to use presets "Look Suite," "Broadcast Spec" and the obvious letter-boxing, and you'll find that -- after hours of rendering -- your bland footage looks like its roots were in celluloid rather than tape.
