This is one of the ones that was censored. The funny thing is, my videos are normally censored by the record companies, before anyone else even gets a chance to decide whether they want to censor it or not. I did this one, straight after the Madonna video, literally a couple of weeks after I got back, but it got put on the shelf for a year. Then it got ripped off and came out a year later. Making the video was great fun. We shot it running around the streets of NYC. We started filming early so I think we ended up shooting during morning rush hour, so there were loads of people coming through Wall Street, wondering what the hell we were doing.... I would've liked to have knocked more pieces of his body off but it was really hard to stop in NYC and set up a special effects shot so I couldn't really have as many pieces of his body crumbling as I wanted to; we only had two goes at each limb. The funny thing was, I actually wanted people to be ignoring him. And that's what I got, everyone just ignored him. They didn't want to make eye contact. We actually shot at the base of the World Trade Center. It's really strange actually -- I remember being so excited being so close to that building. When I saw it, I thought it was the most amazing building I'd ever seen in my life. I just stared at it for 45 minutes. Couldn't believe it. It was so big.
